OUR CERTIFIED TEAM
Over the last few years, we have carefully created our certified team to provide a wide range of skills and knowledge. Therefore, we are able to use everyone’s strengths to enable us to undertake any task from modern stainless steel to historical buildings and structures.
Graham
Coming from a long family history of engineering, it was inevitable that Graham would end up on this path.
With strong guidance from his father Mark Filer, the founder of the business, Graham has developed the right attitude towards difficult tasks to ensure success is always met.
Additionally, Graham has a strong background on the shop floor with all types of welding and machining. Due to this practical experience, he is able to easily understand the work needing to be undertaken.
Above all, his determination to maintain the success of the business leads to excellent customer satisfaction and a very high quality of work.
Ross
Joining us in 2016 from a teaching background, Ross has become a key member of the team.
Due to a strong passion and interest in heritage and restoration, he has become vital within our heritage work.
Always keen to increase his knowledge, especially in the less common tasks, Ross is very quick to learn and develop skills that are somewhat forgotten in the modern day.
Marc
Starting in 2015, and originating from some impressive companies in Dover, Marc has brought a wealth of skills to the business.
Most importantly, he holds a number of welder qualifications (codings) in structural steelwork and has an excellent quality of welding.
In particular, Marc specialises in TIG, MIG and stick welding. Therefore, he enables us to turn out some fantastic stainless steel components.
Amongst other staff training, he is currently a certified company First-Aider.
Leigh
Leigh began welding and fabricating in 2000 and joined our team in 2018. He learned fast and quickly progressed.
Leigh is a coded welder and is competent working with a variety of materials. He is able to TIG, MIG and stick weld and mostly enjoys working with stainless steel.
Most importantly, Leigh is familiar with CE approval and has undertaken the Responsible Welding Coordinator Course. This is an essential qualification with regards to the CE of structural steel.
Ultimately, his skills are evident through his welding abilities and he has a wealth of experience to bring to the company.
Ricky
Originally from a building background, Ricky joined us in 2014. Consequently, he has successfully transferred his skills to strongly benefit the fabrication side of the company.
In particular, his strong eye for detail and determination for quality is vital to ensure the finished products are up to our high standards.
Rory
After completing an engineering qualification at the IOW college, Rory started his welding and fabrication career in a marine setting.
Subsequently, he joined our team at the beginning of 2018.
In particular, Rory has a keen interest in mechanics and is very good at problem solving. He has a calm nature and likes to think everything through, which is often needed within the workshop environment.
His welding skills are in stick welding and MIG and he aims to improve his TIG welding as he enjoys working with stainless.
Jordan
Jordan joined us in September 2017. He is the youngest member of the team, and is currently our apprentice.
He is keen to learn and enjoys taking in the wealth of knowledge from the older and more experienced guys.
Jordan works well with the team and has gained a lot of experience from his grandfather’s engineering company.
In his spare time he enjoys working on old cars and bikes.
